Mrs Fox was looking to upgrade the energy efficiency and overall finish on her park home. It was too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. Mrs Fox decided to contact us to see, if we could help her. We visited Mrs Fox to discuss how we could help, and after our visit it transpired, she was eligible to take advantage of a LAD scheme we were working on.
We installed External Wall Insulation and Underfloor Insulation for Mrs Fox. Mrs Fox had a 60mm Expanded Polystyrene, Mesh and Render System, directly fixed to the wall and supplied by SPS Envirowall (a UK based supplier). The system was finished with a Grey, 1.5mm, Silicon topcoat. The system came with a 25-year insurance backed guarantee and Mrs Fox had the peace of mind that the system was BBA approved.
Mrs Fox also had Underfloor Insulation installed as her floors were quite chilly in the winter months. We fitted Actis Boost’ R Hybrid. This is a 35mm thick reflective quilt system, which is installed using 22mm staples fixed to the flooring joists underneath the home to keep the heat inside the property. This too came with a 25-year insurance backed guarantee
Enabling works
As a company we coordinate all enabling works in order to carry out project’s proficiency and of course in line with PAS2030:2019 regulations.
Mrs Fox had an LPG gas regulator and LPG mains gas supply feed into her home attached tightly to the original wall. As well as this there was a water tap attached similarly to Mrs Fox’s original wall.
Therefore, we used our trusted subcontractor network to extend these items ready for installation.
Safeguarding Measures
Before the job began, we sent Mrs Fox a document outlining the work that was going to take place and what to expect. This helped safeguard her whilst we were on site as the letter contained clear details of what to expect in relation to the work. Mrs Fox also had our Covid-19 policy explained to her.
Outcome and Benefits
After the insulation (60mm EPS, SPS Envirowall, Direct Fix) had been fitted, Mrs Fox’s home is now cosy and warm and retaining heat much more effectively
Energy Efficiency
The home now retains heat more effectively, reducing heat loss in winter and keeping it cooler in summer
Enhanced Comfort
With external wall and underfloor insulation, her home is noticeably warmer in colder months and more comfortable year round.

All works were completed to PAS2030:2019 standards, using BBA approved materials for a high quality, compliant finish.
